We have a number of individuals that support us through regular subscriptions. This kind of funding is the basis of our core funding and is important because it provides a more stable source of income and helps us to plan future projects. Our plan is that subscriptions should cover the cost of on-going projects (the projects we support on an indefinite basis to help build up communities over time). This is important to us as it provides both a stable income and helps us to plan new projects. You can download a subscription form in PDF by clicking here.

Our aim is to organise events which are fun, bring people together and raise money for much needed development work in Africa and South America. Since 1994 we have been organising a series of fund raising events through out the year, some of which have now become firmly established. We try to organise a range of different activities so that people of all ages and backgrounds can take part. One of our biggest events is the annual New Ways Advent Ball held in November which has been organised every year since 1999. We also have a number of other regular events including Wine Tasting , Golf Tournament, Sponsored Run, Cycle and Walk.

We have organised two bike challenges in Kenya in 2004 and 2006. These were a great success and together raised nearly £250,000. Check the image gallery to see photos from these events. We are planning further challenges in Kenya so if you might be interested watch this space!

We also have a number of individuals who have undertaken one off fundraising events for us including the London Marathon and Marathon des Sables.

Our other major source of income is through grant making bodies both governmental (such as DFID) and non-governmental.

Our fundraising efforts have gradually improved over the years increasing from a total of £4,000 in 1993 to £95,500 in 2002. We are always looking for people with a passionate desire to make a difference.

As Cardinal Basil Hume said we need three things to survive; love, food and water. In Africa they have plenty of love but not enough food and water. We want to help change that.
